Coaching Skills for Leaders

The Coaching for Leaders Programme is designed to help leaders/coach-managers support their coaches and make the changes needed to expand their leadership capabilities as well become transformational leaders themselves.

This is designed to help coach-leaders to support their coachees/direct reports make the changes needed to expand their leadership capabilities as well as become transformational leaders themselves.  This program helps coach-leaders determine what their coachees/direct reports want to achieve and the meaningfulness of the coachee’s goal.  

Some of the key elements include:

  1. Building Trust and Rapport – this helps to build a collaborative atmosphere between the coach and the client/coachee
  2. Listening Attentively – by using the whole body to listen to the client/coachee who is held in the space of being Whole, Capable, Creative and resourceful.
  3. Asking Questions with deep Impact – this help to keep the coaching conversation at a deep level rather than superficial chit-chat
  4. Creating Awareness and Designing Action Plans – this elicits the client/coachee’s realisations about his own thinking patterns, his energy levels and how he can unblock his hindrances. The coach then encourages accountability on the part of the client/coachee to take the next needed action to move him forward.

The coach-leaders play the role to guide, challenge, encourage, support and stimulate their coachee’s thinking around what they need to do and more importantly, who they need to become to achieve their goals.

Building Winning Mindset

Building winning mindsets is designed to help the Leaders to have a winning attitude towards the daily challenges in the work environment. Focus of this program is in building the mental strength of Leaders.

This is designed to help leaders to build teams that have a winning attitude towards the daily challenges in the VUCA environment. Focus of this program is in building the mental strength of teams. The model utilized is Fred Luthans’ H.E.R.O. The details include;

1. H= HOPE – individual team members learn how to create a positive state of mind towards the challenging work environment via various techniques such as re-framing
2. E = Self-Efficacy – where individuals are trained to build up their self-confidence by changing their self-image  via techniques
3. O= Optimism – where team members are exposed to new possibilities by stretching their thinking out of their comfort zone
4. R= Resilience – where individuals are trained to flip their thinking towards situations that are deemed stressful and full of adversity. Techniques are taught on how to “bounce back” from high workload, conflict, failure, and ongoing organisational change.

They will build a high level of self-confidence in managing themselves as well as growing their strengths in developing a strong level of resilience and optimism towards managing the disruptive business environment that they are playing in.

Coping with Change

This one day program is designed specifically for organisations undergoing change and are finding the journey more difficult than expected. The Coping with Change program helps participants understand the human physiological and psychological response to change and with this understanding it makes change efforts much easier to undertake.

1. Evaluation of the past so as to identify the shits needed in the way we work, towards a newly defined goal
2. Creating the new Future by reinventing as well as discovering various initiatives
3. To bring about the change across the whole organisations driven by the values of the organisation
4. Experiencing the transformation shifts by reframing the previous points of reference

The leaders and teams will engage themselves to see a new future that is created by them. They will drive towards this future with a strong belief as well as a deep foundation based on their corporate and personal values.
